Refund policy

SHOP REFUNDS & EXCHANGES

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

Our returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Pre-packed wadding must be unopened. Please contact me by email at anna@thehackneyquilter.co.uk quoting your order number to arrange a returns authorisation number. 

You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund. We recommend using a tracked service.

Once your return is received a refund will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5 working days.

Unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Returns are not accepted for:

* Any item made to order or any fabric yardage, fabric bundles or quilt bundles cut by The Hackney Quilter or wadding (batting) to requirement.
* Gift cards
* Any downloadable products and magazines/journals
* Pre-orders or any item ordered into stock specially for you


Exchanges:
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at anna@thehackneyquilter.co.uk to arrange an exchange.

Missing items:

In the unfortunate event that there should be a problem with your order please email The Hackney Quilter within 14 days of delivery with your order number stating the issue. We will endeavour to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

REFUNDS:

We are unable to offer refunds on classes and workshops if we cannot resell your place. We are happy to transfer your booking to another class or date when possible. Due to small class sizes this can be difficult so if you can’t attend a class you have booked please let us know well in advance. If you think you may not be able to attend the class you have booked please get in touch as soon as possible and we will always try to fill your place if we can.  

CANCELLATIONS

In the event that we are forced to cancel a class, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and offer either a full refund or swap your booking to another suitable date.
